Screening and optimization of a novel gallic acid and tannase production under semi quantitative and quantitative methods

Abstract Tannin acyl hydrolase as the common name of tannase is an inducible extracellular enzyme that causes hydrolysis galloyl ester and depside bonds in tannins, yielding gallic acid glucose. The main objective this study to find a novel produced by Acinetobacter Baumannii . A number optimization steps were followed order improve highest production tannase. In present study, A. baumannii isolated from ICU burn. was examined microscopic examination, morphological biochemical assay including oxidase catalase. following parameters considered determined effect pH, temperature, incubation period inoculum volume on production. It observed gave yields using semi-quantitative quantitative methods. stimulated 0.5% tannic agar medium. maximum recorded at pH 5.5, temperature 37°C, 72h 10% volume. results concluded (47.54 mg/ml) (50.12U/mg) obtained under improved conditions.
